Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule
More than 72 Hours Before Charter
Entitled to: Complete refund except for handling charges
Process Duration: 5-7 business days
Handling Charge: €50 for credit card payments
Requirements: Written request via email or phone is needed
24-72 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: Half the total cost of the charter
Processing Timeline: 7-10 working days
Handling Fee: €25 taken from the refund amount
Stipulations: A valid reasoning is required; administrative costs apply
Less than 24 Hours Before Charter
Entitled to: No refunds available
Exception: Emergency situations may be taken into consideration
Alternative: An option for charter credit might be given at the discretion of management
Requirements: Proof is required for emergency claims
Weather-Related Cancellations
Our Weather Assurance
Safety is our foremost concern. If our captain, who is professionally certified, deems weather conditions as hazardous for sailing, we provide adaptable alternatives:
- Total Refund: A complete refund if it's not feasible to reschedule
- Reschedule: Reschedule your charter to another available slot with no extra cost
- Charter Credit: A credit note valid for a full year from the initial charter date
Procedure for Weather Evaluation
Our method for assessing weather involves:
- Evaluating wind force and direction
- Assessing wave size and sea state
- Forecasting visibility and precipitation
- Heeding Coast Guard advisories and warnings
- A safety assessment from our experienced captain
Decision Making Timeframe: Decisions on weather-related cancellations are made at least 4 hours prior to the scheduled departure time.
Medical Emergency Refunds
Instances of Emergency
We are sympathetic to the fact that medical emergencies can occur unexpectedly. The following scenarios may be eligible for special consideration:
- Unanticipated sickness or injury necessitating hospital care
- Passing of an immediate family member
- Military deployment or urgent recall
- Summons for jury duty or legal purposes
- Natural catastrophes impacting travel plans
Documentation Needed
To process requests for refunds due to emergencies, please provide:
- Medical documentation or hospital verification
- Death certificate, if pertinent
- Documentation of military orders
- Legal summons or jury notice
- Official travel warnings or declarations of emergency
Procedure: Emergency-related refunds are actioned within 3-5 business days once we receive the appropriate documentation.
Operational Cancellations
Technical Difficulties
In the event that your designated boat has unresolved mechanical issues:
- Substitute Vessel: We endeavor to supply a similar vessel as a substitute
- Total Refund: Provided when an equal alternative is not available
- Partial Refund: Offered if the alternative boat has differing rates
- Reimbursement: We may offer additional recompense to make up for the inconvenience
Crew Availability Issues
In the rare instance that authorized crew are not available:
- Efforts will be made to arrange alternative crew members
- A full refund if the charter cannot go ahead
- Options to reschedule without any extra charges

Method of Repayment
Refunds are returned using the original payment method provided during booking:
- Credit Cards: 5-7 business days
- Direct Bank Transfers: 7-10 business days
- Cash or Cheque: 3-5 business days
Fees for Processing
Credit Card Handling
€50 fee for cancellations requested beyond 72 hours
Bank Transfer Handling
€25 fee applicable on all refunds via bank transfer
Handling of International Transactions
Extra charges may be applied for refunds involving international transactions
Policy on Charter Credits
Scenarios for Credit Issuance
Charter credits may be presented as a refund alternative under these scenarios:
- Late cancellations within 24 hours of the charter
- Cancellations due to weather
- Voluntary changes requested by customers
- Service disruptions for operational reasons
Conditions of Credit
- Validity: 12 months from the issuing date
- Non-transferability: Credits cannot be transferred to third parties
- Value: Full value of the charter excluding processing expenses
- Utilization: Applicable towards any future charters
- Expiry: Credits must be used within 12 months with no extension
Refunds for Partial Services Rendered
Disruptions of Service
Should your sailing experience be cut short due to causes we can control:
- Refund proportionate to the unused portion
- Credit equating to an equivalent future service
- Complimentary offerings or service upgrades
Disturbances Attributable to Guests
If a charter is terminated prematurely due to the conduct of guests or for safety transgressions:

Should you find yourself at odds with a refund decision made by us, you may proceed to:
- Apply for a reassessment from our management team
- Furnish additional proof or verification
- Seek help from consumer protection bodies
- Look into legal avenues in accordance with prevailing regulations

Second Step: Submit Required Details
Ensure your refund request contains the following:

Third Step: Verification and Action
Our team will acknowledge your application within a day, assess it as per this policy, inform you of their conclusion within two days, and if approved, execute the refund as per the processing times specified earlier.
Essential Reminders
- All pleas for refunds are to be made in writing
- Refunds are conducted in €, independent of the original currency used for payment
- We highly suggest obtaining travel insurance
- Notice of 30 days will be given should there be any changes to this policy
- Refunds are subject to the applicable taxes and regulations
